About the Authorabout me and what i love to do
Hello! I’m Amanda!
Having spent eighteen years prowling the woods of Massachusetts with my three siblings, hunting trolls and ogres (for they are abundant in that state), I decided I had perfected my swordsmanship and it was time to get an education. I left the home fortress in the capable paws of the cat, William Shakespeare Gandalf the Grey, and Spock, our mind-melding rabbit. I came to Franciscan University of Steubenville to study Communication Arts and German, and am now a senior there.
On my way to Steubenville, I was waylaid by a giant, fire-breathing squirrel. A noble grey knight named Dillon came to my rescue and we became companions, embarking on several quests and adventures together. We recently decided to get married so that we can fight orcs more conveniently.
My interests include: fencing, alternative/hard rock music, making videos, reading, adoring pigs, attempting to read German novels, philosophy, and all sorts of geeky things. My favorite books are: Hamlet, Orthodoxy, Lord of the Rings, Ranger’s Apprentice, Chronicles of Narnia, The King’s Shadow, The Hobbit, Anne of Green Gables, Diamond in the Window, and Pride & Prejudice (not necessarily in that order).
So to sum up: yes, I’m Catholic, yes, I’m a middle child, and yes, I’m obsessed with pigs. Just so we’re clear.
If after reading all this you still want to contact me, you may email: firstname.lastname@example.org. There are also comment boxes scattered around the notebook, so don’t be afraid to say hello! I probably won’t poke you with a sword.

I was recently interviewed about my experience as a writer, and I thought I'd share it with you: What does writing a book require? A lot of hard work. A brain is also a must. Fingers are a plus. But in all seriousness, there are three main requirements: (1) a basic...read more
